About 350 runners of all ages showed up for the third annual Waynesville Main Street Mile Friday night. Downtown Waynesville was thick with runners and spectators, and later many moved down to a block party in the Badcock parking lot featuring live music, children's games, food and drinks. The race, which has been a huge success since its very first year, is a fundraiser for Shriners Hospitals of Greenville, which treats children with orthopaedic and neuromusculoskeletal disorders.
