Make holiday Wreaths with Master Gardener Volunteers
Make Your Holiday Wreath with the Master Gardener Volunteers
Bring a pair of gloves and your garden clippers to join the Haywood County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association on Saturday, December 1, for its annual Wreath Workshop.
“Vacancies remain for two classes,” said Bobbi Oubre, event coordinator with Lanie Robinson. “The first class is from 10:00am-12:00noon and there will be a 1:00pm-3:00pm session following.”
To sign up for one of the classes, call Erin at the Cooperative Extension office at 828-456-3575. The registration fee is $20.00
“We will supply a metal wreath form, florist wire, greenery, berries, pinecones, dried flowers, etc. and the expertise of Master Gardener volunteers,” said Robinson. “The classes are always a lot of fun and when people leave they have a lovely wreath to hang at home and usually a new friend or two,”
“If there are special embellishments you’d like on your wreath, bring those with you too,” added Robinson.
Net proceeds from the wreath workshop contribute to the Haywood County Extension Master Gardener Association grant program, which makes funds available for County horticultural projects and the Hazelwood, Riverbend and Junaluska elementary school gardens supervised by the Master Gardeners.
