This year, embellish your home with a one-of-a-kind wreath you make yourself! The annual Haywood County Master Gardener Wreath-Making Event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Cooperative Extension Office, located at 539 Raccoon Road, Waynesville.

The Master Gardeners will provide a selection of fresh greenery, natural embellishments and their own experience. The cost is $20 and includes all materials. Participants are asked to bring pruners and gloves, though gloves will be on sale for those who need them.

To reserve a spot, call 456-3575, or email for a registration form. Space is limited to 40 people for each session.

Proceeds from this wreath-making event will fund horticultural projects and grants in Haywood County.
