Man charged with indecent liberties
A 51-year-old Waynesville man is in jail after being charged with sex offenses against a 6-year-old girl.
Kenneth Ben Wilson Jr., of Farley Street, was arrested July 17 after an investigation by detectives at the Waynesville Police Department.
The girl, who is now 7, came forward to her mother who reported it to DSS, said Det. Bryan Reeves. Wilson was an acquaintance of the girl.
Wilson was indicted by a Haywood County Grand Jury July 11 for two counts felony sexual offense with a child, two counts felony indecent liberties with a child.
At the time of his arrest, he was also charged with simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance after officers found marijuana in his pants pocket.
He was still in custody under $124,000 secured bond as of Tuesday and is due in Superior Court ...
