Loving Wife, Grandmother
CANTON — Margaret Marlene Robinson Singleton, 80, of High Street, entered into her Heavenly home Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013.
Mrs. Singleton was born Aug. 3, 1933, to the late Herbert Robinson and the late Hermie Dempsey Robinson. She was a lifelong native of Haywood County and was a former employee of Strawberry Hill Press and American Enka Corporation. Margaret was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed spending time in her flower and vegetable garden. She deeply loved her family and the memories that they have shared will be treasured forever.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Singleton; a grandson, James Eric Singleton; sisters, Frances Robinson Morris and Irene Elizabeth Robinson Langille; brothers, Lawrence “Curly” Robinson and Charles Robinson.
Surviving are her husband, Hershel Singleton; a grandson, Aaron Singleton; a great -grandson, Janie Singleton; several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Mrs. Singleton’s memory to The Homestead, 127 Sunset Ridge Road, Clyde, NC 28721.
