WAYNESVILLE  —  Margarete Blanche Benhart, 97, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at her residence.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, she had lived in Waynesville for the past nine years.  She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Barbara Kopp Jung and was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Benhart, who passed away in 1986.  She worked for Bill Benhart Construction as office manager for 30 years and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.  Margarete’s life revolved around her beautiful family.  She was also an avid follower of the Chicago Cubs and Florida Gators.
