WAYNESVILLE — Marjorie Louise Perdue Chabot, 95, of Waynesville, went to be with her Lord Thursday, June 20, 2013.
Mrs. Chabot was born Dec. 1, 1917 in Dublin, Georgia and had resided in Florida before making her home in Haywood County for the past 37 years. She was a member of Waynesville First Baptist Church. Mrs. Chabot had been employed as a bookkeeper and had also worked in several dress shops throughout her lifetime. Marjorie was always admired as a stylish and trendy lady by family and friends. She is now in God’s loving care.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Milton Chabot, who passed away in 1988; her son, Earl B. Chabot; and a brother.
Surviving are daughter, Brenda Stevens of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Phillip Meece, who was raised as a son, and his wife, Christy Meece, of Waynesville, Shawn Meece of Orlando, Florida, Debbie Corradini of Naperville, Illinois and Jeff Chabot of Naperville, Illinois; great-grandson, Ethan Meece and several other great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Private services for Mrs. Chabot will be held at a later date.
