Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother
WAYNESVILLE — Mary Frances Turpin, 75, of Waynesville, passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Memorial Mission Hospital. She was born in Jackson County March 18, 1937. She worked for more than 40 years in textiles with various companies. She also had a great love for her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, James Browning.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Turpin; children, Sheila Parton, and her husband, Ronnie, Tammy Mellon, and her husband Billy, Robert Turpin, and his wife, Janice; two grandchildren, Michael Parton and David Howell; one brother, Clarence Thompson; and three sisters, Gladys Wilson, Liza Mae Evans and Mildred Moody.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, in the Chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Rev. Phillip Wyatt officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Green Hill Cemetery.
