Matthew Zedler artwork at Haywood Arts Council Show

Paintings of Matthew Zedler and others will be featured at an upcoming show, "It's a Small, Small Work," sponsored by the Haywood Arts Council at Gallery 86 located at 86 North Main Street in downtown Waynesville from Nov. 13 through Dec. 28.

From budding student artists to seasoned professionals, WNC artists are challenged to create small artwork for the 6th annual show.  There will be an Art After Dark artist reception from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday Nov. 15 as well as an Artist Reception from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24. Gallery 86 is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.

Zedler is a modern/contemporary fine artist with a studio and gallery in downtown Marshall, about 30 minutes north of Asheville. His gallery has been open to the public since early 2008, but his involvement in the arts and fine arts extends throughout his entire life. His repertoire includes variety of cutting edge abstract-expressionist contemporary and geometric-linear-cubist paintings.  

His work is currently featured at NewZart Gallery & Studio in Marshall, the clubhouse at the Hendersonville Racquet Club, the Madison County Visitors Center, Nelson Fine Art Gallery in Johnson City, Tennessee, and Salon Blue Ridge in Flat Rock.  For more information, visit www.matthewzedlerfineart.com andhttp://www.haywoodarts.org.
