1932 – 2012

Maxwell D. Davis, 80, born Feb 27, 1932, and a lifelong resident of Haywood County entered into eternal life June 21, 2012, after a long period of declining health.

Max was preceded in death by his father, Hobert Davis; his mother Gaye Crawford Davis; his sister Georgia Ray; and brother, Joe Burnette Davis.

He is survived by his nephews, Ronny Ray, and wife, Sharon, of Hendersonville, and Dan Keith Ray, and his partner, Myk A. Nelsen of St Petersburg, Florida; as well as numerous great-nephews and nieces.

He was employed for 42 years by Welco Shoe Corporation, and operated a mobile home park for more than 20 years, in the Iron Duff section of Haywood County.

Private graveside services will be held at Davis Family Cemetery in the Cove Creek section of Haywood County.
