The 21st Annual Golf and Gala Charitable Classic was held Aug. 28 and 29 at local Haywood County golf courses to benefit MedWest-Haywood through the HRMC Foundation.

Local residents and hospital supporters competed in five golf tournaments at Waynesville Inn Golf Resort and Spa, Maggie Valley Club, and Laurel Ridge Country Club. Sixteen golf teams qualified to compete in the championship golf tournament, which will be held at Balsam Mountain Preserve on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

The gala, held at Waynesville Inn Golf Resort and Spa, was attended by more than 400 guests, including 280 golfers, 55 volunteers, and many other supporters.
