Meet knitwear designer Alana Dakos is coming to Waynesville
Internationally known knitwear designer, Alana Dakos, will be in town as the featured talent at the Smoky Mountain Knitting Guild’s April 23 meeting.
The Guild, which meets at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 305 N. Main St., Waynesville, has been waiting to host Ms. Dakos for well over a year.
Dakos is the owner of the knitting shop Never Not Knitting, owns NNK Press, has published several knitting books, is a knitwear designer, and the talent behind the Never Not Knitting pattern line.
The program at 2 p.m. on April 23 will include a trunk show, a fashion show of some of the garments from her patterns, books to autograph and patterns available for sale.
The Guild is opening this meeting to the public and admission is free, but non-Guild members should reserve a seat by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
