MemoryCare six-week series offered

The MemoryCare Caregiver Education Program will offer a series of six two-hour lectures for caregivers of persons with memory disorders. The sessions will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. every Tuesday beginning May 13 and ending June 17 at the Senior Resource Center, located at 81 Elmwood Way, Waynesville.

Sessions are designed to improve caregiver understanding of different aspects of dementia care. The course will be lead by Lisa Verges, M.D. Related presentation materials will be provided. Space is limited.

There is no fee for caregivers, but there is an $85 attendance fee for attendees who are not caregivers. Scholarship opportunities are available. Call 771-2219 for information.

MemoryCare is a community non-profit charitable organization providing care for patients with dementia and education and counseling for their caregivers and families.
