CLYDE — Michael Dennis Kelly, 69, passed awayTuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at the Brian Center of Waynesville.

A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late John J. Sr., and Margaret Harbin Kelly.  He retired from Dayco Corporation.  Michael was an antique collector and enjoyed going to flea markets.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Ledford Kelly; a stepdaughter, Dalene Powell, of Asheville; a sister, Lynette Kelly Ames, of Dallas, Texas; a brother, John J. Kelly Jr., of Fairview; and a grandson, Tate Powell.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Rev. Stacey Woods officiating.  Entombment will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.  The family will receive friends one hour prior ...
