Michael ‘Dewey’ Tyson

DALLAS — Michael “Dewey” Tyson, 54, of Dallas, died Jan. 9, 2013, at home. A native of Washington, he was the son of the late Carson Stanley Tyson. Dewey lived in various places across North Carolina before graduating from Pisgah High School in Canton, in 1976. After high school, Dewey worked for Champion Paper Company in Haywood County and in Alabama before he joined his brother in business in 1990. He was the plant manager of Tyson Bros. Inc. He loved his family, his friends, his Allie, his cars, and his Blue Devils. His kind spirit and his wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all who love him.
