CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE — Mike W. Smith, 65, died Father’s Day, June 17, 2012, at a local hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

He was born March 8, 1947, in Waynesville, to James Virgil and Martha June Smith.

He graduated from Brainerd High School and the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with a B.S. degree in business.  Mike enjoyed a 40-plus year career as a manufacturer’s sales representative in the furniture industry.  He was a multi-awarded sale professional who was held in the highest regard.

He was a resident of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, and a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. He married July 9, 1966, in Chattanooga, to Betsy Bush Smith.  Mike was a devoted, loving and hilarious husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
