Loving Mother, Grandmother
MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina — Mildred Ensley Mauldin-Hill, 82, formerly of Waynesville, passed away Monday, Aug. 18, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late William Else and Ethel Jones Ensley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Joseph Hill, who died in 2000; sisters, Margie Deweese and Barbara Ensley; and brothers, the Rev. Jerry Ensley, William “Mutt” Ensley Jr., and Richard Ensley. She retired from Dayco and was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesville.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Kip Goodson, of Myrtle Beach; granddaughter Amber Milner; and great-granddaughter, Ella Horne, of Myrtle Beach. She is also survived by sisters, Peggy Sheehan, Betty Cogdill, Shirley Hill, Linda Taylor, all of Waynesville, and Judy Whitley, of Fort Payne, Alabama, and brother, H.P. Ensley, of Waynesville.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Rev. Seth Early officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
