Mims, Conard wed March 24
Dr. Schuyler Kathleen Mims and Michael “Mike” Andrew Conard were married at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Seabrook Island Club and Carolina Ballroom, in Seabrook Island, South Carolina. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Timothy Mann, brother-in-law of groom.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Mims, of Darlington, and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Powell, of Darlington, South Carolina and Maisie Mims and the late Gary Mims, of Hartsville, South Carolina.
The groom is the son of Bobby Conard and the late Patsy Conard, of Waynesville, and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Smith, of Concord, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Conard of Waynesville.
The matron of honor was Haylea Jordan, sister of bride, and the maid of honor was Dr. Jennifer Pohn, friend of bride. The flower girl was Caryss Jordan, niece of bride.
The best man was Dr. Joe Conard, brother of groom, and the honorary best man was Bobby Conard, father of groom. Groomsmen were Ryan Reese, Raife Davis and Wally Brown, all friends of the groom and Daniel Jordan, brother-in-law of bride.
Dinner and dancing were held at the Seabrook Island Carolina Ballroom.
The bride is a magna cum laude graduate of USC and a medical school and residency in pediatrics graduate of MUSC. She did her fellowship in neonatology at Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis. She is a neotologist at the Coliseum Hospital and Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, Georgia.
The groom is a graduate of Western Carolina University and is self-employed.
After a brief trip to the Florida Keys and Cozumel, the couple will take an extended trip to the Polynesian Islands in August.
They will reside in Macon, Georgia.
