Antioch Baptist Church is holding their annual Missions Fair from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Haywood County Fairgrounds. The day, includes the Flea Market, New and Used Furniture and Appliances, Flea Market, Antioch Boutique Shop, Old Country Store, Kid’s Corner and Youth Baked Goods and Apple Butter Sale. Don’t forget to stop by the Silent Auction for some special items up for your biding.
Lunch and Dinner served all day starting at 10 a.m. Tickets for Barbeque Dinner are available for $8 from church members or can be purchased at the Fair. There is something there for everyone.
All proceeds go to fund the mission projects at Antioch. One project included is a Nicaraguan village, Christo Rey, where a feeding program is provided as well as construction of living quarters for these very poor people. The children fed there eat one meal a day at best and some not even that. These children suffer from severe malnutrition which effect their mental and physical development. Many families there do not even have a roof over their heads. The Antioch Team returns there in February for our 4th straight year. We join other teams in helping these relocated families with food and shelter as well help and hope for a better future.
