Mission Health to offer free sports medicine clinics in Clyde

CLYDE, N.C. (July 17, 2013) - Mission Health is pleased to announce an inaugural complimentary sports medicine lecture series in a center serving the heart of Haywood County.

From 6:30 until 8 P.M.  July 25 Mission Sports Medicine will feature Thomas Minton, PT, MDT, CRTS, a certified running technique specialist, USA Track & Field Coach and Bike Fit Red Level Pro. Minton will present Bike Fit, which discusses basic and advanced techniques to optimize performance, comfort, and aerodynamics as well as prevent injury. The event is free and open to the public and will take place at Mission Outpatient Care Center, located 490 Hospital Drive in Clyde, next to Mountain Eye Associates.

The July 25 lecture is the first of a two-part sports medicine lecture series. On Aug. 22, Minton will return to the Mission Outpatient Care Center to discuss Pose Running Method.

In addition to learning about Bike Fit, attendees will have an opportunity to learn the anatomy of a proper bike fit, watch bike fit demonstrations and discover how to perform a self-bike fit. All attendees will be entered to win a complimentary bike fit.
