The following events will be held for the Dr. Martin Luther King holiday weekend:

• Jan. 19 — Pride March at 11 a.m. beginning at Harris Chapel AME Zion Church, Hillside St., and free movie “Skin” showing after the march at 1 and 6 p.m. at the Colonial Theatre, Canton.

• Jan. 20 — Commemorative Service at 3 p.m. at The Church of God of Prophecy, in Canton.

• Jan.  21 — Prayer Breakfast at 8 a.m. at the Lambuth Inn dinning room, Lake Junaluska.  The speaker will be Bishop Ivan Abrahams General Secretary, World Methodist Council, Lake Junaluska.
