MOW golf tourney is Oct. 26

The Carroll Bryson Invitational golf tournament to benefit the Haywood County Meals on Wheels program will be held Friday, Oct. 26, at the Waynesville Inn Golf Resort & Spa. The tee times are continuous and start at 1 p.m.

Carroll Bryson is a 21-year employee at the resort as the senior golf course starter and he is a long-time supporter of Haywood County Meals on Wheels.  He will be retiring on the same day as the golf tournament.

Cost per person is $50 or $100 per team, with a two-person captain’s choice.  Refreshments and the award presentation will immediately follow the tournament. Prizes will be awarded for two separate flights and closest to the pins.

MOW provides a daily nutritious meal to more than 200 residents, who are elderly, homebound and/or disabled who otherwise cannot ...
