Myers transfers back to North Buncombe HighTuscola loses running back who rushed for 2,631 yards in two seasons
A speedy junior running back at Tuscola High, Bryce Myers, could reach the 3,000 yard milestone for a career for a new team his senior season.
Myers, who finished the 2013 campaign with 1,943 rushing yards and 22 TDs and amassed 2,631 yards in two seasons at Tuscola, transferred on Wednesday back to North Buncombe High School.
An administrator at Buncombe County Schools confirmed that Myers had transferred and is enrolled at North Buncombe.
Myers was a freshman running back at North Buncombe High for then-head coach Brandon Allen in 2011.
But when Tuscola High named Allen to take over the football prgram in 2012, Myers transferred to be “with his coach.”
Two sources at Tuscola and one at North Buncombe, who asked to remain anonymous, cited Myers’ transfer was family related.
Myers, who lived in Haywood County for the past year and a half, has a brother and sister currently attending North Buncombe High School.
