Loving Mother, Grandmother
WAYNESVILLE — Nancy Faye Green, 62, of Waynesville, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 6, 2013, in the arms of her family. She was born May 8, 1950, to Edith Pressley and the late Johnnie Pressley.
She was of the Baptist faith, she loved gardening, feeding the birds, caring for her dog, Ginger, and most of all being a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to father, she is preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Green, and sister, Betsy.
Survivors include, her mother; sons, William Lee Green and Johnny Bruce Green and his wife, Samantha; daughter, Brenda Green Keener and her husband' Freddy; grandchildren, Bryan and Chrissy Keener; sisters, Judy Smathers, Rose Hightower, Joyce Frady and Margaret Sluder; brothers, Max and JB Pressley; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.Friday at the Old Pathway Baptist Church with the Revs. Tim Reeves and Freddy Keener officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Garrett Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Sugar Cove Cemetery. At other times the family will be at the home on Beantown road.
Serving as pallbearers will be members of the Jonathan Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Jonathan Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
