CANTON – Nancy Henderson Miller Grubbs, 82, passed away Dec. 29, 2012,at The Homestead.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Porter Robert and Minnie Edna Henderson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Anderson Grubbs, who died in 1981; a son, Michael Earl Miller, who died in 1968; and seven siblings, Nell Bright, Jack Henderson, June Rigsby, Mary Sue Pauley, Betty Wall, Minnie Ruth Carr and Judy Pennington.  Nancy was a member of St. Andrews on the hill Episcopal Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Miller, and her husband, Meredith Ferrier, of Canton; one son, Porter “Pete” Miller, and his wife, Lisa, of Murphy; one brother, Paul Henderson, and his wife, Winfred, of Canton; three grandchildren; one ...
