Alpacas of Riverside Farm, in the Crabtree community, will welcome guests to meet their alpacas, as well as the chickens, dogs and cats who keep them company from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29.

On that weekend, alpaca breeders from across the United States and Canada will invite the public to come to their farm or ranch to meet their alpacas and learn more about these unique animals, the luxury fiber they produce and why the alpaca business is environmentally conscious.

Alpacas of Riverside Farm is at 346 Lucky Lane.  Directions are: from Exit 24 on I-40, head north on 209 for almost three miles. Then, turn left on Riverside Drive to Lucky Lane on the right (about four miles). The farm is about 300 yards up Lucky Lane.
