Star Teachings Society (STS) is a non-profit organization that was formed in Maine, USA, in July 2013 in order to spread the kindness, build community and share wisdom from the ancient heritage of teachings known as the Star Teachings.
The basic premise of the Star Teachings is practicing kindness and the teachings also include pertinent information regarding spirituality, technology, engineering and mathematics. There is no belief system involved, no dogma and no commandments. The teachings help us recognize we are all teachers of kindness in our simplest thoughts and actions. We begin to recognize our own capacity to create the world we long for and to collectively build an energy to do so. A purpose of the STS is to share the Star Teachings through various venues on all scales world wide. STS hosts events including TEAs, Speaks, SHARES, gatherings and workshops. A Speak is a traditional form of unveiling or sharing the Star Teachings. A Tea is a gathering in a circle where we listen, learn, ask questions and harvest the wisdom of the group. All are welcome to STS events. There is no cost for admission, there is an offering basket at events for donations to support the continued sharing of these teachings.
