NC ABC commission holds free training class April 23

The NC ABC Commission is holding a free Responsible Alcohol Seller/Server Program class for area businesses and their employees from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, at Jackson County Recreation Center, 88 Cullowhee Mountain Road, in Cullowhee

The class is to educate businesses with alcohol permits and their employees about the responsible sales and service of alcoholic beverages.

Businesses or organizations with alcohol permits, applicants seeking alcohol permits, bartenders, servers, employees or festival volunteers who serve alcoholic beverages and members of the general public are welcome to attend.

The free program is open to the public and teaches the state’s current alcohol laws and techniques for detecting underage and intoxicated patrons. It is designed to cover valuable information for both on- and off-premise businesses and employees. For information about the course or to register, visit http://abc.nc.gov/education/RASP.
