Mountain Spirit Wellness, 254 Depot St., in Waynesville, announced the addition of Linda Neff is to its team of therapists. “She offers a unique blend of treatment techniques to help relieve chronic conditions and pain,” said co-owner Lynda Saffell. “Linda brings valuable experience and expertise in her Reiki and reflexology practice  as well as a love for community and helping others to live better.”

Neff is a relexologist, Reiki master and wellness teacher and has been in business for 15 years. She worked with a medical doctor and acupuncturist to gain knowledge about how to reduce pain levels. “Reflexology is similar to acupuncture in that it works reflexes along the meridians to open the blocked energy,” Neff said.

She uses reflexology with her fingers and thumbs to work specifically on problem areas in the body to find strands of muscles that are bound-up, blocked and need to be released.  This allows the energy to flow through the areas.  Once the energy flows freely, the muscles become relaxed and balanced,” Neff said, “so that nerve flow, circulation and lymphatic flow can become more functional.”

She said that reflexology is a “totally unique experience” toward reaching areas that need to be released.

“I have received hundreds of massages over the years but I’ve never received one like the one Linda gave me,” a client from Waynesville said. “I used to ask my masseuses to do what Linda does naturally — get to very specific places on my body and stay there until the muscle releases. The result from Linda’s massage was and is extremely healing.”

Mountain Spirit Wellness, owned by Lynda Saffell and Mel Fergenbaum, offers a variety of alternative health services and personal coaching seminars and a space for public meetings in its 17-by-25-foot classroom.

Neff is accepting appointments from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays at Mountain Spirit Wellness. Call her at 513-675-2819.
