New Children's Book -- Meet the Authors
Join the author and illustrator of the children’s book, The Heart of a King, at Blue Ridge Books on Saturday, August 10 at 3:00 pm.
The book is for children ages 6-12. Leo is a young lion and the son of the great King Lionel. Leo has little paws and little claws. He often compares himself to his friends who are bigger and stronger, which makes him feel even smaller. One day Leo decides to go on a hunt for some insects but ends up searching for his roar instead. Leo journeys through the jungle meeting several interesting animals who try to help him along the way. It’s not until Leo faces a difficult situation that he truly finds his courage and more than he could have ever imagined. Follow Leo on an adventure to find his roar and to discover what it means to have The Heart of a King.
