New Tween Club and teen happenings at Canton Branch Library

The Canton Branch Library is starting a Tween Club. The club is open to children in fourth through seventh grades, and will meet once a month. Each meeting will feature book talks and a special craft or activity. The Tween Club will be meeting again at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, and will be creating marble art. The library also hopes to start a Tween Book Club as part of the monthly meetings.
In addition, there are several upcoming events for teens at the Canton Branch Library. There will be a teen movie screening at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30. Call the Canton Library for movie title and more information. The Teen Advisory Group (TAG) will meet at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6. This meeting's discussion will be about the book "City of Bones" by Cassandra Clare. There will also be a Valentine’s Workshop for teens at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12. Teens will be able to give back to their community by making valentines to be be distributed to local nursing homes.
