Next NARFE meeting is Aug. 23
The Smoky Mountain Chapter of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will meet at noon Saturday, Aug. 23, at Shady Grove United Methodist Church, located at 3570 Jonathan Creek Road, Waynesville.
Members are asked to bring a covered dish; no desserts — cake and homemade ice cream will be provided. The chapter will provide cups, plates, utensils, drinks, ice and napkins.
Everyone is being asked to bring baked goods and produce from their gardens to be auctioned as a fundraiser.
The chapter serves Haywood, Jackson, Macon, Swain, and Graham counties.
All NARFE members and those eligible to become members are invited to attend. Currently employed federal employees are eligible for membership.
