No. 2 seed Black Bears having a bit of deja vu
CANTON — With the NCHSAA football playoffs kicking off tonight, the No. 2 seed Pisgah varsity football team is having a bit of deja vu.
Squaring off against the same first-round opponent they defeated 35-14 in the 2007 season and whipped in the regular season two weeks ago, 49-16, the Black Bears are hoping that deja vu will have the same results when they host WNC Athletic Conference rival Smoky Mountain
Tonight’s Class 2-AA West playoff game between Pisgah and the No. 7 seed Mustangs kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
