No seniors? No problem!
CANTON — The Pisgah varsity volleyball team had no seniors to honor for its regular season finale. But the wasn’t a problem as the Black Bears took care of Brevard, 3-2 (25-27, 25-16, 25-16, 17-25, 15-10), in a hotly-contested battle Tuesday night.
“I am so proud of them for the way they played as a team,” said Pisgah Head Coach Jenni Reynolds. “They never gave up even when we got in some tough spots and rallied back to win the match. That was the most fight, emotion, drive and effort that I have seen all year. We had to have this match to tie for first and now we just have to see how the conference seeds us though the tie-breaker rules.”
The crucial win put Pisgah (13-7, 9-5 WNCAC) in a three-way tie for first for the WNCAC’s 2-A title with North Henderson and the Blue Devils. But on ...
