North Hominy Apple Festival is Oct. 20

The North Hominy Apple Festival will be held from 7 a.m. until “whenever” Saturday, Oct. 20, at the North Hominy Community Center, Newfound Road, in Canton. A country breakfast will be served for $7, and there will be homemade fried apple pies, apple butter, apple jelly and crafts. The cooking crew will be making 50 gallons of fresh apple butter at the festival.

Proceeds go toward a new roof for the community center.

Take I-40, Exit 33, on Newfound Road. Call 648-3220.
