GREENWOOD, SOUTH CAROLINA — O. V. Davis, 83, of 312 Fern Cliff Dr., widower of Eva Adams Davis, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Self Regional Medical Center, Greenwood, South Carolina.

Born in Graham County, he was a son of the late Wayne and Bertha Orr Davis.  He retired from Champion Paper and was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church, Greenwood, and the adult Sunday school class.

Mr. Davis was twice married, first to the late Dorothy Clontz Davis, and was also preceded in death by two daughters, Gail Davis and Patricia Davis; and a brother, Richard Davis.

Surviving are two daughters, Frances Turbyfill, of Mt. Holly, and Joyce Hall, of Hayden, Idaho; a son, Donald Davis, of Greenwood, South Carolina; sisters, Marie Carver and Janice Stewart, both of Robinsville, and Thelma Morgan, of Easley, South Carolina; brother, Jimmy Davis of Robinsville; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home, Greenwood, from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Chris Todd and Paul Reid officiating.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Pisgah View Memorial Park, Candler, with the Revs. Wayne McGuire and Chris Todd officiating.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Stewart, Mitch Hyde, Michael Davis, Darren Stewart, Ronnie Stewart, Kaleb Davis, Hunter Vinson and Ed Hall.
