At 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, Old Town Bank celebrated the grand opening of the Bank’s distinctive new, headquarters building with a widely attended ribbon cutting ceremony.

Neal Ensley, Chairman of the Board, Charles Umberger, President & CEO along with the directors and staff of Old Town Bank were joined by Gavin Brown, Mayor of Waynesville, CeCe Hipps, President of the Haywood Chamber of Commerce, and a large group of Bank shareholders, customers and friends to officially open the newly constructed headquarters building located at 2045 S. Main St.

Designed by the Waynesville architectural firm Mountain Design, the 9,000 square foot Bank is already being heralded as a landmark building in Waynesville, and features a very tasteful mix of brick, stone, and stucco. Construction, which began in the fall of 2012, was completed ahead of schedule and under budget by the local contractor firm of Clark and Leatherwood.

Construction features include covered drive-thru lanes and a new state-of-the-art 24 hour ATM, Safe Deposit Boxes in a wide range of sizes, high efficiency air conditioning and heating, generous parking and other amenities.

As Chairman Neal Ensley, beaming with pride, stated, “What a way to celebrate our Sixth Anniversary!”
