One sensational 'Senior Night' - and one very sour 'Senior Night!'

CANTON — The Pisgah varsity football team won its "Senior Night" and secured the WNCAC's No. 1 seed for the Class 2-A playoffs after crushing the Smoky Mountain Mustangs, 49-16, at Memorial Stadium Friday night.

The Black Bears, which improved to 4-6 overall and 3-3 in the WNCAC, plays at Brevard in the regular season finale next Friday night. Smoky dropped to 3-7 overall and 3-3 in the conference.

At C.E. Weatherby Stadium Friday night, the conference-leading East Henderson Eagles ruined Tuscola's "Senior Night," trouncing the Mountaineers, 55-24.

Tuscola, which slipped to 3-3 overall in the WNCAC and 3-7 overall, plays at Franklin next Friday. East Henderson improved to 9-1 overall and 6-0 in the conference.
