Our goal with SummerVoice Music Camp is to give our participants a wide variety of musical activities that center around singing, the chance to explore their musical aptitude on instruments, and to experience the rich heritage of music, and how it has evolved. Every year has been different and fun, and we have added many new and exciting activities to not only enrich kids' lives, but to let them have fun doing it.

Campers will learn to sing with proper vocal technique and in two and three part harmony.  In addition, participants will select an instrument (piano, guitar, percussion, violin or a capella for the older kids).  Some choral numbers will include choreography.  The fun-filled week will end with a demonstration concert on Friday. The camp fee includes all music, snacks, professional instructors, a tee shirt...and 5 days of fun music-making!

Voices in the Laurel Summer will feature Martha Weathers Brown, founding Artistic Director of Voices in the Laurel and Anna Watson, piano instructor and accompanist for Voices in the Laurel.

Quotations from last year’s camp include:  “It is the best week of the summer…It’s awesome…I wish it was longer than a week!”   Space for SummerVoice is limited, so register online soon at www.voicesinthelaurel.org, or call 828-734-9163.
