There will be a  service of dedication for the Inaugural Open Door Garden at noon, Saturday, May 11.  The ceremony will be brief and will be held in the rear of The Open Door (32 Commerce St).

All are invited to come see the newly planted raised beds that will provide fresh veggies for Open Door meals, as well as enjoy the beauty of the transformed landscape.

"We are indebted to the leadership of some of our local Master Gardeners, and other volunteers, who have guided this project," said The Open Door's excecutive director, Perry Hines.  "Also we salute the Family of Friends that we serve daily who have participated greatly in the success of this project."

The event has been planned on the same day as Frog Level’s Annual Festival “The Whole Bloomin Thing.”  Remember, the street will be closed for the festival and attendees will need to park at some distance and make your way to the rear of The Open Door for the noon service.
