Groups and individuals are invited to drop off Operation Christmas Child boxes for Samaritan’s Purse worldwide distribution from Nov. 12 to 18, at the regional collection site at Canton First Baptist Church at 74 Academy St. in Canton, or at First Presbyterian Church at 305 N. Main St. in Waynesville.

Bill and Becky Jarrell, of Waynesville, are the coordinators of Operation Chrismas Child in Haywood County. The Jarrells have been packing Christmas shoeboxes since 1997, soon after the program was launched by Franklin Graham.
