Organic broccoli production workshop is Sept. 19
North Carolina State University is hosting a free workshop on organic broccoli production from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 19, at the Mountain Research Station, 265 Test Farm Road, in Waynesville.
Attendees will learn about organic broccoli production, insect management, post-harvest techniques and marketing. View 28 broccoli varieties and help rate which one is best, see which ones are most insect resistant, heat tolerant and most delicious.
Participants are asked to RSVP to ensure that there will enough lunches.
