Mother to Many

Patricia “Pat” Ann Payne Phillips, 61, of Canton, and who was also lovingly known as “Mother” to many, passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012.

Mrs. Phillips was born Oct. 22, 1950, in Haywood County to the late Walter W. Payne and the late Ida Mae Worley Payne.  She had resided in Haywood County most of her life and she and her husband were founders and owners of P&G Insulation of Canton. She had also been formerly employed with Ingles, Sav-Mor, Revco and Single Stop. Pat loved the Lord and she was a member of Full Gospel Holiness Church. Everyone who knew Pat loved her, her beautiful smile and her caring heart will never be forgotten.  She was a wonderful cook and her delicious German chocolate cake was a favorite of everyone.
