The Lake Junaluska Peace Conference invites all students to attend a special peace discussion with Ms. Leymah Gbowee on Saturday afternoon, November 10, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Stuart Auditorium at Lake Junaluska. Ms. Gbowee received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2011 for her work in stopping war in Liberia, and she is one of the featured speakers at the Lake Junaluska Peace Conference. This special afternoon session with Ms. Gbowee is free for students of all ages from middle high to college.

Ms. Gbowee’s message will empower young people to change the world. The title of her book, Mighty Be Our Powers, demonstrates this ideal. This special session is part of the 2012 Lake Junaluska Peace Conference: Love in Action: the Transformative Power of Nonviolence.

Ms. Gbowee will address all Peace Conference attendees at 7 p.m. Saturday, November 10 in Stuart Auditorium.  Her address is open to the general public free of charge, but a donation is requested to help with the Peace Conference expenses.
