CANTON — Pearl Warren Scott, 92, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at MedWest-Haywood.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Burrell and Mandy Grooms Warren.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Norman Scott, who died in 1976; a sister, Burndina Rogers; and three brothers, Glenn, Hall and Reeves Warren.  She retired from BASF, with 38 years of service.  Pearl’s favorite spot in the mountains was her campground, Shady Rest in Bryson City.  She also enjoyed working in her flower beds with Debbie and crocheting beautiful scarves.  Above all, Pearl loved being surrounded by her family.
