In Loving Memory

CANTON — Peggy Ann Montgomery Hill, 74, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 25, 2014.

She was born May 24, 1939, to the late Lloyd and Martha Clark Montgomery who were former residents of Knoxville, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jerline Spangler; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Berry; brothers-in-law, Billy, Jitter, Hoss, and Dale Hill and James Carrell, all of Knoxville.

Peggy loved gardening, shopping at thrift stores, reading, spending time with her family, her dogs, Lil Dog and Worm, and Jake, the cat. She loved the Lord and enjoyed listening to classic Gospel music.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Tommy Hill, of the home; sister, Hazel Carrell, of Maryville, Tennessee; children, Debbie Rauhuff (Danny Plemmons), of Knoxville, Becky Livingston, of Asheville, Kim Turner (Jeff), of Waynesville, Ginger Hill, of Clyde, Tommy Hill Jr (Allison), of Canton, and Stephanie Ward (Jason), of Starkville, Mississippi; grandchildren, Steven Rauhuff, Tonya Raby (Tracy), Beth Hicks (Charlie) of Knoxville, Sam Jackson (Keisha), Adam Jackson, of Canton, Justin Livingston, of Asheville, Brandon Livingston, of Hickory, and Cory Hill, of Canton; great-grandchildren, Nellie Jackson, of Canton, and Landon Raby, Lindsay Raby, and Hunter Simpson of Knoxville; Sisters- and brothers-in-law, Carolyn Simmerly (Don), of Canton, Cindy Latham (Gary), of Clyde, Tammy Coates (Terry), of Madison County, Dave (Lisa), Biggen (Sharon), Lea Lea Allen (Ray), Jeff (Becky), Ernie, Gale, and Wayne Hill of Knoxville. She also had many nieces and nephews and cherished friends.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 30, in the chapel of Crawford/Ray Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
