WAYNESVILLE — Peggy McDaniel Williams, 64, of Cypress Villa Lane, passed away, Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was as native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Calvin Warren McDaniel and Virginia Matney McDaniel of Canton. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother Calvin McDaniel. Peggy was the sweetest woman you’d ever meet.  She was a caretaker, a lover of arts and crafts and an amazing wife and mother. Peggy enjoyed crocheting afghans and Disney caricatures. She also loved sightseeing with her best friend and husband Ted. She was also a lover of animals, especially her cats, Cooper and Tucker.
