Entrants in Sarge’s Pet Photo Contest will be displayed at the Waynesville Library following the awards ceremony and through the month of April.

“For the past several years, Bee and Joe Volpe have put together a display in the glass cases on the first floor of the Waynesville library,” said Cynthia Morris, co-coordinator of the pet photo contest. “Not only are all the contest entrants displayed in the case, the Volpes include information on Sarge’s volunteer program and its accomplishments in saving animals throughout the year.  Since the display is on the same floor as the children’s library, many young people are exposed to Sarge’s that maybe would not have heard of the organization previously.”

The deadline for entries is Friday, Feb. 28.

Categories for this year’s judging are Best in Show, Dog, Cat, Puppy, Kitten, Photographers under the age of 12, Sarge Rescue, Other Pet (animal other than a dog or cat), and Super Shooters (people who have previously won first place).
