Pisgah boys beat the Knights and Falcons

CANTON — The Pisgah varsity boys basketball team rebounded from its loss to Tuscola with wins against visiting North Henderson, 74-49, on Tuesday and at West Henderson, 66-53, on Wednesday.
The Black Bears improved to 9-5 overall and 4-1 in the WNCAC. Pisgah plays at Smoky Mountain tonight.
In the game against the Knights, Pisgah went on a 13-2 run in the second quarter, which helped the Black Bears to take a 33-14 halftime lead.
Pisgah led at the end of the third quarter, 51-29.
Senior postman Christian Bryant and junior guard Jesse Anderson finished with 16 points each for Pisgah, while senior guard Dalton Scott chipped in eight points.
In Wednesday’s 13 point win at West Henderson, the Black Bears held a 42-27 halftime lead.
Despite limited minutes due to the big lead,  Scott finished with a game-high 16 points, Anderson added 14 points, while junior Hunter Wike had nine points and sophomore center Thomas Tatham chipped in eight.

JV Boys
CANTON — The Pisgah JV boys basketball team took it on the chin twice this week, losing at home to North Henderson, 55-52, Tuesday afternoon and dropping a 54-48 game at West Henderson on Wednesday.
Against the Knights, Josiah Ledford finished with 14 points and Noah Hicks chipped in 10 points.
Against the Falcons, Ben Johnson scored 12 points and Ledford added 11 points.
