Pisgah drills Blue Devils, Mountaineers end season on sour note

Brevard — The Pisgah varsity football team, which held a 49-14 halftime lead, drilled Brevard, 56-14, in the regular season finale Friday Night.

Pisgah improved to 5-6 overall and 4-3 in the WNCAC. The Blue Devils dropped to 0-11 and 0-7 in the conference. It was Brevard's first-ever winless football season in the program history.

In Franklin, Tuscola ended its season on a sour note, losing to the Panthers, 48-21, in "The Pitt."

The Mountaineers fell to 3-8 overall and 3-4 in the WNCAC. Franklin improved to 8-3 and 6-1 in the conference.

State playoff brackets are scheduled to be released Saturday afternoon.
